LSCN course

After 3 days of 'intensive' training...the lscn course is finally over...it was really tiring and information overloading...haha...cos there is a lot of things to remember...yesterday after e mcq test...started the practical sessions...firstly is airway managament lor...finally...i learnt e correct technique of modified jaw thrust...haha...then also learn intubation...whoa cool....but my hands really hurt...must hold e laryngoscope like dunno wat...trying to expose e 'hole'..i mean to c e vocal cords la to get in e ETT into e trachea...everyone in e grp is trying hard...getting hold of everytime to practice...haha...cos e technique really not easy to master...but this station is considered e 'easiest' of all de la...

then next is defibrillation station...mux recognise e rhythm...then give shock lor...actually this oso not tt difficult la...jux some safety issues...but i failed first attempt in this station...due to e stupid machine lor...ok partly my fault...e asystole in this machine is not straight line de lor...look like fine vf then i dunno wat to do le...so give shock in e end of cos fail la...haix...should hav practised more in this machine...cos everytime practise use e other one...but luckily 2nd attempt pass le...whoa...is during e megacode...tt e lecturers decide tt actually i know how to do...hehe...so retest...then pass le lor..

megacode is of cos e most difficult and interesting and fun station la....but yesterday really stressed up...during practice made a lot of mistakes...hmmm...in e end at night sleep oso keep thinking of all e three algorithms..plus what drugs to give and what dose...and oso how to lead e team and organise who to do wat...then today practised...phew...still ok...cos i am e last to practise and to test...so observe my grp members a lot...haha...learnt a lot from their mistakes and strengths la...yeah...in e end pass in e first attempt...whoa...at first so scared lor...scared i forgot e drug and dosage...and what to give first...megecode is really testing everything...ur communication, leadership, teamwork, e-drugs, defib, airway mgt, cpr, all e algorithms...haix...

nevertheless...glad tt it is over now...haha...finally can hav a good night sleep...yeah..and finally i passed and get e LSCN cert le..haha...what a great start for my holidays..haha
