back to working life

Work had started for more than 1 week le...i think i am still in quite a good shape...the good mood from holiday still retains...nice thing to be joyful about :) plus...we had 3 new colleagues who joined us...actually we knowed them through prcp times le...so yeah..more youngsters around...the work area seems more livelier..well...actually nothing much to update here though...hmmmm...after the trip...nothing much else to say le...lol...my life had been pretty boring i guess...but nowadays...i am eating too much i think....perhaps next time i shall not join my colleagues for buffet meals le...or maybe...i shall not eat too much during buffet next time...lol

for e next few months...i think my life will only revolve around work lo...nothing planned ahead...perhaps only mayday's concert...but tt will be end of august time...i have successfully psycho one of my colleagues to join me...lalalalla...i know i am bad la...aniwae...until the end of august...i guess there will be nothing much planned...sian-ed...but who knows...perhaps i will quit my job to join private clinics...perhaps i may decide to change line...perhaps i will not even be around anymore...nothing in mind...nothing expected..nothing planned..

My life is such a blank now...

japan trip last day

Finally..last day of the trip...stayed at narita port hotel for the last night...tried fermented beans for the first time..and i promised this will be the LAST!!!...

AEON SHOPPING MALL
made our way to aeon shopping mall for last minute shopping...luckily our flight is at 1730...so still can shop a bit..cabbed there...taxi in japan is really expensive like nobody's business...just a short ride of less than 10mins can go up till 1700yen...almost 25sing???..very ex right...the starting fare is like 710yen...and each jump is 90yen...can really have heart attack on a cab..imagine a ride from narita to tokyo...i think i can buy half a burberry wallet le...dotx...

there is a hard rock cafe here...but very sadly...dunno i suay or what..it is closed on tt day...lol...and opened the next day...can die lehx...but a good thing if u think from another angle..i have one less thing to spend lor...haha...luckily have crepes for sale also...nice and yummie...my filling has cream..ice cream..strawberries..mochi...chocolate cream...so nice...
NARITA AIRPORT
then it is departure time le...felt quite sad...will definitely miss japan..and toshie our tour guide a lot...after all..spend so much time with her for the 7 days le...

one thing to note...japan really has a lot a lot of vending machines..u can find them anywhere..everywhere...even at the most wierdest place...and it is not only drinks u buy from there...there is ice cream...food...ramen tickets...camera films...cigarettes..beer...lol..anything can be buy from there ba...and not forgetting...hot bottled drinks also...cool...
bought quite a lot of things from japan...although things are ex..yup...i was conned by their cute and attracting appearance...lol...but i was e one who bought the least things ba..at least i never come back in cartons...lol..btw...all the snacks..tibits are so nice lor...and bai se lian ren...nice...hehe

AND LASTLY.......

Thanks to my beautiful tour guide Toshie and 'handsome' tour leader Sam for a wonderful trip:)

Had finally finished blogging about the whole trip...my last 5 days of rest days are spent in front of the labby and editing photos lor...sian-ed...but looking at the photos is fun..hehe...work starts again tmr...hope i will have a great start...jia you!!!!...and qi-dai-ing for my next trip again :)

japan trip day 5

TOKYO DISNEYLAND
made our way to disneyland early in the morning...weather was surprisingly good that day...cos the other day was raining like mad...so we all are equiped with jackets...umbrellas...raincoats already...but luckily...none came in use..except for my hat ba...it was freaking hot instead lor...and sunny...made me abit burnt...lol...

aniwae..on e day we went...15th april...it was the first day of tokyo disneyland's 26th anniversary...quite a memorable day also ba...

TOMORROW LAND
as advised by our tour guide...we went the adventrous route first instead...luckily..there aren't many ppl that day...well at least we dun need to wait 1-2hrs for one ride la...initial plan was tt to hit 4 rides for tt day will be good enough...but surprisingly the crowd is not that huge...so we managed to cover 10 rides instead...but not huge crowd doesnt mean no crowd...still a lot of ppl lo..haha..first visited the recommended ride...space mountain..of all rides..i seriously feel this is e scariest lor...cos u really cant see anything inside...arhx...hate the feeling of dark...

there is even an escape pod for ppl who want to back out of the ride suddenly..hehe

TOON TOWN
next on..will be toon town...as mentioned by the name..all toons...for kids...haha...a lot of cute things here...and a lot of pictures to take here...i wanna take pictures with minnie they all too...but there was just so many kids and other tourists crowding around..so..in order to save some time..need to forgo tt..sadded..

FANTASYLAND
a huge merry-go-round here...it is beautiful lor..haha...and not forgetting the big big castle...visited haunted mansion here...and nope..it is not scary at all...cos i cant understand a single word they are saying...but the ride itself is quite good..the design..sound effect...and i got scared by one of the 'ghost' inside lor...stupid..

GRITTER COUNTRY
i loved the splash mountain ride...hehe...but personally i feel it is not as exciting as the singapore's one lor...singapore is higher...this is more for kids la...went on this ride twice..e 2nd time using the fast pass...the fast pass is useful in a way..hehe..and e 2nd time..i managed to take pics of the things inside...well...actually the ride had storyline de lor...well..every ride in disney has a storyline i think...which i think is very interesting...especially the design and settings...really admired..

WESTERNLAND
initially wanted to try the shooting game here..but apparently...all the ppl there are holding on to the 'guns'...aiming and not shooting...wait until a bit fed up..so decided to make a move...they are so serious about the game lor...if me..i will just take then shoot 10 times..haha...then tried the big thunder mountain ride...sorta a mini roller coaster ride...but not scary...no big turns..no high drops...but still fun la..also sat on this ride twice...hehe

ADVENTURE LAND
adventage land is okok only to me...the jungle cruise ride is really quite lame..because i coudnt understand what tt person is talking from the beginning...but seeing his actions...hearing his whole long script...really admire...wonder how many times he need to repeat the same things each day...with a big smile somemore

MINNIE OH! MINNIE
watched a musical show of minnie...it is nice...hehe...anything to do with music i will like...

PARADE
of course...the most important thing of all is the PARADE!!!!...will never miss it for any reasons...and it was fabulous lor...the nice characters...costumes...and music...many songs they played...and many bring back memories...got a little touched by those music also...really really nice..

WHERE DREAMS COME TRUE...i loved this slogan...it is really fun to visit disney land...really brings back many memories of the past..i am sure many of e characters we know by heart..and also many productions by disney...movies shows...all can be seen here once again...is like entering a world of fantasy..
but a small 'unfortunate' event to note..cos we are supposed to be out and gather by 1815...so at like 1745..me and shina decided to go our own ways to shop for souvenirs since we are looking for different things..for goodness sake...i actually got lost inside!!!..irritating...the shops all look e same...sell almost e same things...and are inter-connected too...turn turn turn..i just cant find my way out..keep walking to dead ends...and i even see e thunder mountain ride once again (which i not supposed to be there...i am supposed to be heading out..not in)...in view of time constraints...got no time to explore myself le cos is already like 1830 le..i decided to ask the ppl there...then sadly like no one available except the cleaner...dotx...and he dun really understand what i mean by 'exit' also..point here point there...finally he got it then bring and show me the way out...something nice about japanese...they will bring u to the location or somewhere near to the location when u ask for directions...so relief when i exit the place..and my tour leader actually said this is e biggest joke he had heard for the year...dotx...and beat my head somemore...angry ++++
Overall..loved this place the most...fave place for my japan trip ba..if coming back to japan..will definitely visit disneyland (until the closing fireworks) and also disneysea...

japan trip day 4

LAKE YAMANAKA
Early morning after breakfast...we took a breeze walk to lake yamanake..it is just opposite our hotel...morning view of the lake is great...been here the night before...view is also beautiful...no tall buildings or what...clear sky ahead...with plenty of stars and we even saw a red shooting star!

actually up till now i am still surprised..cos our itinery was supposed to go to lake kawaguchi...but instead we are here...hehe...nvr mind...here is not tt bad..less ppl...less popular...yet the air is more refreshed...

WASABI FARM
proceeded to wasabi farm...it was quite a letdown as it is raining quite heavily...and i did not bring any umbrella..it was in my luggage somewhere..but now with me...nvr get any good look at this farm also..was dying to get back to the coach...hate rainy weathers...and it was quite cold also lo...

then..it is a 2hour drive towards tokyo...between we had a toilet stop at a food mall...hehe...i nvr bought anything to eat surprisingly...only bought a drink..the toilets here are cool...even got a navigator sorta thing on top...

SHIN-YOKOHAMA
then arrived at shin-yokohama...visited the ramen museum there..

let the pictures speak the words...i am quite amazed by the 'old traditional' feel inside...hehe

ASAKUSA
lunch over here...the setting of the restaurant was fantastic..hehe...the meal is nice also...actually every meal i found it ok..just that the portions are simply too small lo...even with udon and rice together...i still dun seem to be full..dotx...then beside our lunch place is the 100yen shop...our fave hangout...inside can find all sorts of things at cheap pricing of 100yen...haha...

the famous lanterns...and got myself a lot...which is a bad one...dotx..i really have no luck with this??..or is my luck really that bad one??...anyway..tied my unlucky lot there already...

UENO
ueno is a big shopping area...actually..we still havent shop enough here...lots of shops..departmental stores...i really wanna come back here again lo..to visit the IOIO...and also the hard rock cafe..and some other trendy shops around here..

SHINJUKU
the most famous area in tokyo i supposed..ok...at least i always heard of this place before i visited here...shinjuku...it is a red light district...something like geylang in singapore..but here everything is more opened...lol...the obscene signs can be seen everywhere..can see man in suits pulling customers (or rather recruiting ppl)...everything is like in e open lo..but the neon lights is what i admired here...bright...colourful...with all this lightings...this place dun seem as scary as it is...actually..i supposed there are more shops to see other than those 'special ones' ba...but we are not given a chance to roam around here freely...sad...nvr mind..shall put this place into my itinery next time when i come tokyo again..haha

IKEBUKURO
stayed at sunshine city prince hotel..it was an ok hotel la...rooms a bit small..but ok la...tokyo ma..limited land area...but the room is so quiet at times that our ears is like ringing lo...and ppl walking talking outside can hear clearly also...lol..otherwise..the location not bad..shopping district also..

japan trip day 3

SHINKANSEN RIDE
First stop of the day is to the JR station for a shinkansen ride...though only one stop..we enjoyed the ride...haha...felt the super fast and high impact of the shinkansen passing through the station...whoa...those approaching station were quite slow in speed...but those which are passing through the station were shiok...super fast and loud...can feel the wind lo...cool

had a mini run before boarding the train..because we are waiting at the wrong platform...lol...all along we are at there looking at the train...then it was like last minute before our tour guide realise that we are at the wrong platform...and all along we are looking at the train which we are supposed to be on..lol...so all of us ran like mad towards the train opposite us..(with stairs to climb up and down)...then less than 5 seconds after we board the train...it left...phew...

a short video which i took of the fast moving shinkansen...cant really feel the impact on video...but in reality..it is really super fast...on video...this train took around 10-11 seconds to pass while a departing train took like 30-31 seconds to leave...triple the speed...
PEACE PARK
visit to the peace park..i like the name..and those slogans they used inside...like world peace etc...it was a long and steep climb to the top of the park..but it was worth it...cos when u are up and look back..u can see a full view of mt fugi...hehe...beautiful..

yup...sakura trees yet again...1st encounter will be excitement...2nd encounter will be praises of it's beauty...3rd encounter and so forth...it is just sakura..some pink and white flowers..

A nice lunch we had...i am so on with japanese food...hehe...then fruits again after meal..strawberries...so red and nice...but not as sweet as those i bought at shinsaibashi...but still nice la..hehe...and a wierd slogan i took...guess where??..in e toilet!!!...chinese and english dun tally lo...chinese is saying need to flush before and after use...(i supposed so)..then english is about another thing as u can see..wierd..

MT FUGI
long bus ride up mt fugi...at e entrance...we are like hoping with some praying that we can go all ahead to the 5th station...weather seems nice...and yup...it is all access today..whoa...haha...5th station is the highest point buses can go...and after that u need to hike up...of course...we are just gg to the 5th station...no way am i hiking up??..and not allowed also i think..think tt hiking season is like july or august...when not so cold and foggy ba..

anyway...while driving up mt fugi...can see forest beside...our tour guide, toshie, was telling us something like the forest here is a place where compass cannot find any direction..meaning..once u enter...u will not be able to get out...so it is a famous place for ppl to commit suicide inside..and once a year...some ppl will go in with a rope tied to them..to collect the bones...scary right??...

on our way up...we are like seeing snow patches all around...we are like...whoa???...now still got snow meh???...in e end...the snowy areas become larger and larger...and we can actually see a huge area of snow...and it is thick also...so excited...hehe...and our bus kindly let us drop there and play with the snow...it was not tt cold actually...but the snow is still soft and white...but i think i abit paiseh there lo...climb halfway...stuck there...cos too slippery i dun dare to advance...and no way i can retreat too...in e end someone from the group help us up...then once up...view is really nice...but now the problem is...we need to GET DOWN!!!...omg...super scary la...ok la...i too timid...scared of height...scared of falls...in e end...i was like stuck there..and our tour leader sam had to hold me down...i was clutching to him so tightly lo...sian-ed...paiseh+++++++++...finally got down...a sigh of relief...haha...but it was really a fun experience...

at the 5th station...can see the peak of the mt fugi..to me..not as nice as u see from far...lol...and also a post station here...i sent postcard home back from here...but currently...havent receive yet..wonder how long will it take??

some pictures at the 5th station..well...the backside photos of our tour leader...haha...not taken by me i swear!!!...taken by one of our tour mates...when i handed her my camera because i want to climb up..haha...

the sacred, and beautiful mt fugi..

OSHINO HAKKAI VILLAGE
ehhh..nothing much to say about here..seriously..i am sorry to my tour guide...cos i forgotten what she intro about this area...dotx...only can remember certain words she said..and i mean words..not sentence...eg...spring water...mt fugi...lol...

LAKE YAMANAKA ONSEN HOTEL
stayed at this onsen hotel...traditional old japanese tatami style..overall..quite ok experience to me...i managed to sleep pretty well...although thinking back...this place do seems a bit eerie..anyway...dinner over here is great...nice...hehe...and we are forced by sam to wear yukata to dinner...all of us...lol...but i like to wear yukata...it is warming actually..

a group photo of us :)...too bad never include toshie and sam..

japan trip day 2

NARA DEER PARK
First destination of the day is nara deer park...haha...can smell the 'animals' from far...lol...upon entering...we are greeted by a huge number of deers...which are not afraid of humans at all...and of course...they dun bother about us at all unless we are giving them food...

these deers are really trained...they will not snatch food from the store holder...even the food at the store there is like placed in e open..however as we approach the store...just approaching..not even taking out money...the deers will come around poking us...demanding for their food...so needless to say...in less than 10s after i bought e deer biscuits...it is gone...and after eating..the deers will roam away...in search of their next victim...lol..but they are cute in a sense la..haha

TODAIJI TEMPLE
well...as per the name...it is really a huge temple...and i really meant HUGE!!!

this shot contains of 16 pictures...

and this..contains like 20???...gigantic should be the right word to use...

a minature view of the whole temple..

nice weeping sakura trees...in full bloom...haha...nicest that i have seen in this trip i think...before entering the temple..we are supposed to clean our face and hands with the 'sacred' water...then offer a joss stick (not 3 in japan)...then there comes a super small hole which one can climb over to attain success...well...i dun dare to try...i wont want to be stuck that until our tour leader come and save me the next time he comes...lol...

KYOTO KIMONO SHOW
next up...we headed towards kyoto...near to nara acutally...saw the ultra expensive kimono...they are beautiful...but unaffordable..haha...

Lunch near kyomizu temple...i sorta like japanese lunch...rice..udon...they taste great to me...then cherry blossom softcone for me...nice in the hot weather...surprisingly...kyoto is damm hot when we are there...

KYOMIZU TEMPLE
was sorta disappointed when i visited kyomizu (pure water temple)....well..in my opinion..it is supposed to be more attracting...but when looking at it...it is just ok..yup...a temple lo...anyway...pictures seem quite alright la...

yup...there are japanese girls who wear kimono around in kyoto..on e streets...just roaming around..lol...they looked beautiful in their traditional costume...and u will only see someone wearing there 'causally' on streets of kyoto..
the love stones...which i also read about already in book...well...i think the real meaning of passing the test of these love stones are distorted by the ppl there le..perhaps too many ppl around playing le ba...but having someone to guide u through the path of it...so what's the meaning even if u can reach the other stone safe and sound???..it already defeat the purposes of exploring on your own and depending on the so called fate...everyone is walking with the help of their friend...and of course they can reach the point successfully...so what's the meaning of walking blindfolded???..just open your eyes and walk la...u can reach it anyway...lol...if i have a chance again...i will definitely go and try on my own..with no help of course...if not...serves no purpose at all...
TOYOTA CASTLE HOTEL
back to the hotel after a smelly dinner...lol...cos we are eating the japanese bbq thinggi...which is stinky and smokey...not very nice also...i rather eat seoul garden...at least they have smoke absorber???..aniwae...loves this hotel...cos the bed is big and comfy with 3 pillows...haha

actually...we reached the hotel quite late tt night...was stuck in a traffic jam on our way from kyoto to nagoya..it was like we boarded the bus at 3pm..and reached the dinner place only at 8+pm???...16km jam at the highway...so we are stucked in the coach for 5hours???>>.dots...i forgot how i managed to survive that...i think i slept for the first 2 hours...then after tt..our tour leader is entertaining us with his lame jokes and stories...which i cannot understand some of them...R21 jokes i think...dotx...but his stories are nice and entertaining la...makes the 3 hours pass fast..and i am glad to have him as our tour leader :)
